Majestic Upper Douro,

and Côa, a temple of

wilderness and silence.

Site of the world’s most important Palaeolithic open air rock art museum, land of Romans, Arabs and the first Kings of Portugal.

A year-round striking scenery with curves designed on the hillside, intertwining lights and shadows, and the mountains in the horizon. During spring the landscape transforms, giving the spotlight to the delicate almond trees that blossom across the Foz Coa region.

Vineyards

Quinta de Vale do Fojo goes one step further, as it is entirely focused on biological production. We have old organic vineyards, with the most recent planted in 2005. The full official organic certification of both wine and olive oil, by CERTIS, has been granted in 2017.
